Julia Hawley finished fourth in the amateur division of the Abruzzo Pescara Half Ironman in Italy last weekend, finishing the gruelling course in five hours, 22 minutes, 37 seconds.Hawley, competing in the 45 to 49 age group, was second in her category, three minutes, 43 seconds behind Gabriella Picco-Winteler of Switzerland, while Swiss Alexandra Bürger won the overall event in 5:4.18.7The Team Winners Edge athlete hit the 1.9K run, 90K bike, and 21.1K run strong from the outset, completing the swim in 34 minutes, 22 seconds, while conquering the gruelling ride in 2:57.42.Hawley finished the run in 1:42.44 to hit the tape in fourth position.
