Coral Beach deadline today

Entries for the Junior Clay Court Championships at Coral Beach and Tennis Club close today.

The tournament, which runs from December 27 to 31, features male and female singles and doubles in 18 and under, 16 and under, 14 and under and 12 and under categories.

Neal Towlson, the Coral Beach tennis professional, has urged for overseas-based players who have returned to the Island for the festive period to sign up.

“We have had a fairly good response so far, but some players who were away at school or busy with other things may have missed the announcement, so we are reminding players to get their names in by tomorrow.

“As I said previously, there are talented young players here in Bermuda and away at school and this is a chance for them to show their development since the summer.”

Entry fees for the Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association-sanctioned event are $25 for the first event and $10 for each subsequent event. Entry forms are available at the Coral Beach Club tennis office.
