Lincou on course to defend title
Thierry Lincou remains on course to defend his title after beating Jonathon Power in the Randall & Quilter Legends of Squash tournament last night.
Lincou of France beat Canada’s Power 11-8, 11-7, having defeated England’s Lee Beachill 12-10, 11-9 in the opening night of the competition at the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association in Devonshire on Wednesday.
In last night’s other matches David Palmer, of Australia, beat Egypt’s Amr Shabana in a thrilling encounter 9-11, 11-2, 11-9, and Scotland’s John White beat Beachill 8-11, 11-8, 11-7.
On the opening night of the tournament Palmer beat Power 14-12, 11-9, while White managed to overcome Shabana, who is making his first appearance in the tournament, 10-12, 11-3, 11-6.
In tonight’s games starting at 6pm, Power faces White, Shabana play Beachill, and Lincou takes on Palmer.
