Ben Smith, national Coach and Sharks Swim Club coach, said he was encouraged by the fast times of the young swimmers. “From a National point of view D’Andra Seymour dropped close to a second in the 50 freestyle to make her ‘A’ time which qualifies her to be on the National training team,” her said. “Michelle Caza and Shannon Hassell both hit their qualifying times for Carifta to become the 15th and 16th qualifiers. A total of 61 Harbour Club and 39 Dolphin Team swimmers competed at the meet. Bermuda’s Carifta team will head to Florida for a training camp from March 3 - April 7 where they will prepare in a 50m pool. The Carifta Championships will run from April 23-26.
