Award-winning director Patrick Baucelin has presented 30 DVD copies of his documentary to Senator Michael Fahy, the tourism minister.

Mr Baucelin, of Martinique, handed over copies of Cities of the Caribbean Islands for the benefit of Bermuda’s libraries and schools at a presentation at Fort Hamilton.

He is in Bermuda filming a new documentary that will include Bermuda’s forts, after his 50-minute film in 2011 Secrets of the Fortresses of the Caribbean also won several international film awards.

The documentaries are the film maker’s efforts to foster tourism, providing historical context, back-dropped by beautiful island locations, to inspire travel to Caribbean destinations.
