Travel article highlights island as top destination
An international travel website has highlighted Bermuda as one of the best destinations for September.
Travel and Leisure listed the island alongside the Spanish island of Ibiza, the Georgian capital of Tbilisi and the Hawaiian island of Maui in its list of places to visit in the month of September.
The article said: “In September, the waters have been warmed by summer weather, and temperatures are in the high 70s and low 80s, perfect for the beach or exploring Bermuda's 21 square miles.
“Once known for its major export – Bermuda onions – Bermuda is now a popular vacation destination for golf, resorts and its famous cocktail, the Dark 'n Stormy.”
The article also highlighted the Rosewood Bermuda, the Loren at Pink Beach, the Hamilton Princess and Cambridge Beaches as places to stay on the island.
