A JetBlue flight that took off from Boston bound for Bermuda had to return to the United States because of bad weather.

Saturday’s incident is the latest in a number of situations that have impacted LF Wade International Airport.

A Skyport spokeswoman told The Royal Gazette: “JetBlue flight 203, Boston to Bermuda, returned to Boston citing strong wind gusts at that time, approximately 100 miles out from Bermuda.”

The spokeswoman also said that American Airlines Flight 2044 from Charlotte was delayed owing to mechanical issues.

The incident occurred after an American Airlines plane heading to the United States returned to Bermuda shortly after take-off on Thursday because of a “possible mechanical issue”.

It comes after LF Wade International Airport experienced major disruption on June 3, which officials blamed on bad weather.
