Rider in Hamilton crash with potentially serious injuries

Collision

A male motorcycle rider was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment after a collision with a car in Hamilton.

Police said first responders were sent to the incident at about 5.10pm.

The two vehicles struck on Par-la-Ville Road at the junction with Church Street.

Police said early information suggested that a car, turning right from Par-la-Ville Road on to Richmond Road, was in a collision with a rider reportedly overtaking the line of traffic.

The driver of the car was not reported to be injured.

However, the motorcyclist’s injuries were said to be potentially serious.
