Rider seriously injured in Hamilton Parish collision

A male motorcyclist was taken to hospital this evening following a two vehicle collision in Hamilton Parish.

The Bermuda Police Service said officers and other emergency services responded to a report of a serious road traffic collision — which involved a motorcycle and a parked car — at around 9.45pm in the area of Trinity Church Road in Hamilton Parish.

A spokeswoman said early information suggests that the motorcyclist sustained serious head and neck injuries as a result of the collision.

He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The scene of the collision was being processed and traffic was being diverted away from the area.

Motorists were advised to use alternative routes where possible.

Witnesses or anyone who may have information about the collision were asked to contact the police on 211 at the earliest opportunity.
