Days of heavy rain have caused additional potholes and deterioration on Bermuda’s roads, the Ministry of Public Works and Environment announced.

Motorists were urged to stay alert, slow down and be patient, particularly when driving in the rain.

A spokesman said crews will address the issues as bad weather conditions ease. Weather forecasters said conditions should improve by Friday.

The spokesman explained: “Ongoing rain can limit the ability to carry out the ability to carry out permanent repairs safely and effectively, however, teams will respond as soon as conditions allow.”

Members of the public can e-mail reports of pothole sightings with location details to potholes@gov.bm or the GovAlert app.
