Road work to block bus access at Spanish Point Road

Spanish Point Park (File photograph)

Road works along Spanish Point Road will impact bus service to the area, the Department of Public Transportation said.

Lane closures and paving equipment associated with the work, as well as the narrow width of sections of Spanish Point Road, will prevent buses from reaching the Spanish Point turnaround.

Route 4 buses will be unable to travel beyond the Spanish Point Road and North Shore Road intersection during the initial phase.

The paving work will start on Monday, March 23, in the area of Spanish Point Boat Club and will move east to Cox’s Hill roundabout.

Additional details on detours will be released prior to the start of the works, which will be carried out between 8am and 6pm, with traffic controls led by government workers.

Impacts are expected to last until April 10 or until the Ministry of Public Works and Environment indicates otherwise.
