Amani has the luck of the Irish!
Lyceum Preschool in Bailey's Bay.
After learning about shamrocks, leprechauns and St. Patrick, the preschoolers went into the playground to look at the clovers.
They learned that St. Patrick used the shamrock, similar to the clover, to explain the relationship of God the father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Moments later four year-old Amani Walker said that she found a clover with four leaves.
Carol Trott, their teacher, thought for sure that it was merely a case of a torn leaf and appeared to be a fourth leaf.
"We were just sitting there on that grass looking at the clovers,'' said Mrs.
Trott. "I had mentioned four leaf clovers and how rare they are.'' But Amani was right, the clover had four leaves.
"And two minutes later she said `Oh look I found one'. It happened just like that. "No-one I know or have ever met has ever seen one.'' she said. Mrs.
Trott believes that finding this clover during this special Millennium leap year is a sign of good fortune for the children of Bermuda.
And especially a sign of good fortune for the students of Lyceum Preschool.
Amani and her class mates are having her discovery pressed so that it can be saved and will always bring them good luck for years to come.
Lucky for life: Lyceum Preschooler Amani Walker shows off her four leaf clover that she found while learning about St. Patrick.
