business management or accounting some day.

The fifth year Sandys Secondary School student said these fields interest her because she likes the business world.

But the well-rounded student is not all business.

Describing herself as a funny person who enjoys joking around, Arleyne said she had been a majorette for eight years.

She said she enjoys watching BET (Black Entertainment Television) in her spare time. And she would like to some day meet rhythm and blues artist Monica because she "likes the songs that Monica sings''.

But Arleyne named her mother as the person she most admired.

"My mama is my role model because she is behind me every step of the way,'' she said.

She added that she had learned to deal with life's problems by staying calm and talking things over with her mom.

Clearly someone who knows how to enjoy herself, Arleyne said she believed that Bermudian youth should learn to get along with one another more.

"They should get along and stop fighting over silly things,'' she stressed.

But the one thing that Arleyne said she was most concerned about was the Island's flagging tourism industry.

"Tourists come here and complain about the Country,'' she said. "But without tourism we wouldn't have any money. The tourists should feel welcome when they come here.'' If given the chance to visit anywhere in the world, Arleyne said she would like to go to Africa because she would like to help the people there.

"It would be a once-in-a-lifetime trip,'' she added.
