The idea emanated from a morning assembly where Sieg Grafe, a missionary in Africa, visited and spoke to students about the plight of young people in Africa.

The students, who were in Tiannia Lowe's English class, held two bake sales during their hectic schedules in the final school term.

Student Reneka Smith presented Mr. Grafe with a cheque for Cnd $700.
