Governors Silver Jubilee Scholarship from Bermuda College.

Bermuda College president George Cook and chairman Randy Horton MP presented the award outside the House of Assembly to Mr. Caesar who is attending Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia.

Mr. Caesar is in his second semester and is studying industrial and organisational psychology.

The Bermuda College graduate attributed his success at Morehouse to "the foundation he received at Bermuda College'' and "encourages Bermudians to go the College''.

Dr. Cook said: "At the College we provide the time for students to decide what they like and dislike and what they feel is in their best interest and there are many deserving students that need financial support.'' Mr. Horton added: "I wish students to be able to be free thinkers and concentrate on their studies without worrying about financial concerns.'' The scholarship, worth $3,000 (for one year) is awarded each year to Bermuda College students pursuing an undergraduate degree.

The Board of Governors raised the funds for the scholarship by agreeing not to be paid for serving on the board and contributed the money toward the scholarship.
