My idea of an ideal Bermuda is an Island full of pride and confidence. This aura will be present in each citizen and this Island will not be afraid of moving into the future. I believe the best way to handle change is to prepare for it because change is inevitable. I would like for Bermuda to be unique and not to be engulfed by Americanisation and to recognise our Island has its own unique talents and gifts to offer the world. I imagine a Bermuda full of supporters and not importers. I would like for Bermuda to not neglect tradition but at the same time be ready to adjust to new situations and conditions. I hope Bermudians realise that they must be able be harmonious with their own people before guests can be entertained. It takes more than money, fancy clothes, and conversation, it takes nationalism. This is what the Bermuda of my future would be like.

I would love to see an Island that holds all its glory and the world looking at us with envy. In the Bermuda I want to live in, when one rises the entire country rises, when one falls we all are affected. I would like to live in a Bermuda free of political games, legal smokescreens, and propaganda. The Bermuda I wish to live in will be a Bermuda with honest and genuine citizens.

I hope that one day I can live in such a Bermuda where positives are highlighted and emulated and negatives are not exaggerated. Therefore, I want to live in a Bermuda where citizens hold an atmosphere of pride, quite deep inside.
