life and is looking forward to owning her own beauty salon some day.
The 16-year-old says she has always wanted to be a cosmetologist and is concentrating on finishing her school work so that she can go on to a cosmetology training school in Florida.
Christine started gaining experience in cosmetology by working as a shampoo girl at Tangles last summer and this summer she spent some time as a nail technician at Beauty Within.
After finishing training school Christine hopes to come back to Bermuda and work in a salon to gain more experience.
"After I get some experience my father will help me to open my own business which would specialise in hair, nails, face, and massages,'' she said.
Christine added that the type of person she would like to meet would be someone who owns a major salon on the Island.
"I would want to watch how they run their business,'' she explained.
And if given the chance to go anywhere in the world, Christine said she would visit the world's biggest salon. But she confessed that she did not know where it was located.
Describing herself as quiet and meticulous, Christine said one thing she would like to be able to rid the Island of was racism. However, she admitted that she did not know how one can change such a negative system.
