Every Tuesday night the youth of the church gather to take part in Equipping Believers Class.

These classes were just recently put in place by the Pastor, Rev. Dr. Goodwin C. Smith, so he can help his church to grow spiritually.

When the teenage classes first started in February, many chairs were left empty, but soon friends started to invite other friends.

Now the classes are so full the registration sheet can not hold all the names of the students.

The students are taught by Dennis Burgess, a private architect. Mr. Burgess was also the students' former Sunday School teacher so he felt it would be easy for him to teach his former students.

"They are very enthusiastic, though some of them are too mouthy,'' Mr.

Burgess said. "It gives young people a chance to learn about important things in an informal setting.

"Based on the response from the youth I think they are gaining something from the class.'' Thirteen-year-old Hafid James said: "Uncle Dennis talks about stuff we want to know like the ending of the world.'' Hafid's sister, nine-year-old Ronnelle James, takes part in the Fisher's of Kid's Class.

"We talk about Bible study and play games like Bible story charades,'' she said. "Sometimes we have ice-cream and cookies and drink after it's finished.'' "Because of the class I became a better Christian,'' Ronnelle and Hafid's older brother, 17-year-old Khere-Shae James said about the class' impact on his life.
