Dance will be `Fabulous'
"Fabulous'' at the Ruth Seaton James Auditorium early this month.
The show will feature 11 dances and six girls aged ten to 16, who will hip-hop, soca and reggae through their routines -- and familiar sixties music.
Choreographer and director Kamal Williams said: "The show is a whole variety.
Each dance has it's own character.'' The dancers represent most of the schools on the Island including CedarBridge Academy, Berkeley and several middle schools. "The girls are dynamic and the dance appeals to all age groups and demographics. I used to dance,'' explained Mr. Williams. "I started dancing in 1988 with a group called Just Stars. Then I started teaching dance during summers after that and a lot of people know me through those experiences.'' However, the event will not feature big name guests like the Governor His Excellency Thorold Masefield or Premier Jennifer Smith because Mr. Williams said he wants the attraction to be the dance.
"I just want the dance to be a showcase of talent.''
