From music to pizza: Programmes for the most difficult tastes
While many of the Island's youngsters complain of nothing to do, the Ministries of Community and Cultural Affairs and Education's Community Education Development Programme aims to put an end to their boredom.
For each term, organisers are offering a variety of "Just for Kids & Teens'' courses designed to suit the most hard-to-meet interests.
And beginning the week of April 13, more than 20 activities catering specifically to students aged five through 16 will be held at various venues around the Island, with the majority hosted by the Warwick Community School, the Clearwater Middle School and the Middle School at Sandys.
The ten-week student courses include instruction in sewing, cooking, design and technology, pizza making, recorder lessons, charm classes, gymnastics, French, golf, boxing, aerobics, martial arts, bowling, Spanish, sign language, soccer, modelling, tennis and modern dance.
All of the above cost between $45 and $55, and although registration has already begun, there is still plenty of time to sign up.
Mail-in applications can be found in the Community Education Development Programme's booklet or collected from the Warwick Community School (236-0829), St. George's Community School (297-0007), and the Sandys Community School (234-1346).
But remember, absolutely no registration forms will be accepted after April 10.
So for healthy fun in a positive environment consider joining one of the many courses offered by the Community Education Development Programme.
