National School Grounds Week aims to raise awareness about the importance of school grounds.

Local activities are being coordinated by Learning Through Landscapes Bermuda and Growing With Trees.

LTLB coordinator Romelle Warner said: "Projects will vary by school, but all will feature activities that increase the educational use of their grounds for the benefit of all children. Some projects planned are tree plantings, nature walks, gardening, storytelling and picnics.

Elliott Primary, Port Royal Primary, St. David's Primary, East End Primary, Francis Patton Primary, Devonshire Preschool, Southampton Preschool and Warwick Preschool have already signed up.
