Director of the Ministry of Youth, Sport, and Recreation Brenton Roberts said this week the ministry had produced an all-new guide book with 1,000 facts.

The quiz competition preliminaries will be held at the Mount Saint Agnes School on March 16 and 18.

The finals will be broadcast live on television on the evening of March 20 from the Hamilton Princess Hotel. He said: "We have revamped all the facts and information about Bermuda to make it not only current but to eliminate any facts that were outdated.'' This news comes in the wake of controversy last year when all of the schools involved -- to varying degrees -- received insufficient information.

Last March, Mr. Roberts said the quiz contest committee found a photocopying mistake "overshadowed our best intentions''.
