Her favourite subject in school is music and she likes to play her clarinet.

Rochee, who is a prefect and an honour roll student, keeps busy with her school band, the Regiment Band, the library club and the debate club.

She enjoys listening to Whitney Houston and Boyz II Men and her favourite movie is Sister Act 1.

She also enjoys eating Fettucini al Fredo.

Rochee said she would really like to meet Maya Angelo "because from what I've read she seems like an interesting person''. Rochee, who wants to become a cooperate lawyer, says that violence is one of societies main problems and believes that parents should teach their children the difference between right and wrong in the home.

Rochee has two sisters, Michelle and Gina, and one brother Roderick. She also has two dogs, Nikko and Yental.

Rochee says that if she had a plane ticket to anywhere in the world she would go to Africa "because there is so much poverty in Africa. Even though it's sad to see things like that I want to get an idea of how it really is''.

Rochee says that the best day in her life was when she won an academic trophy.

DATHAN BYRD Whitney Institute student Dathan Paul Byrd recently won an award for being the friendliest Pink Panther hospital volunteer.

Dathan, who wants to become a occupational therapist, works in the Extended Care Unit at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after school.

Dathan, 15, is a fourth year student at Whitney. His favourite subject in school is physical education and he enjoys playing American Football in his free time. He plays flag football on Saturdays at the Warwick Secondary School field and is part of the Bermuda Flagball Federation. Dathan enjoys listening to Boyz II Men and eating pizza. His favourite movie is The Bodyguard.

Dathan said that he would like to meet Nelson Mandela because "he's a lot like me. He and I like to fight for people's rights and we are both kind''.

He says that society's main problems are violence and drugs. He would fix these problems by hiring more Police and security personnel.

Dathan has three brothers, David, Demeterrus and Michael, and one sister, Whitney. He also has a fish named Fats.

Dathan says that the best day of his life was when he heard he was going on a cruise in June. He said that the worst day of his life was when he decked out on a bike in front of his friends.

Dathan says that if he had a plane ticket to anywhere in the world he would go to America because "I was raised there and I love it there''.
