Ronald, 16, is head boy at Northlands Secondary and is in the graduating class of 1995.

After he graduates he plans to go to a prep school for two years, then on to college to prepare for a career as an engineer.

Ronald plays basketball, "messes'' with bikes, bakes, and is the vice president of the youth department at his church. He is also involved in the school's peer mediation programme. This is a programme where students help other students to solve their problems between themselves.

Ronald's favourite class in school is maths. When he finds time to relax he likes eating fast food and listening to rhythm & blues, rap and reggae.

Ronald enjoys watching Fresh Prince and Home Improvement and likes the suspense and excitement in the movie `Drop Zone' and the humour in `Low Down Dirty Shame'.

He has three sisters, Rochelle his twin, and Kim and Mel who are older. He also has two dogs, whom his sisters named Fred and Biscuit.

Ronald said he would most like to meet Michael Jordon because "he's retired and I don't see much of him any more. I'd like to see what he's doing. I also want to know how it feels to have all of that money''.

Ronald believes that society's main problems are violence and teen pregnancy.

"I believe that parents need to be stricter and not spoil their kids when they are young. The parents need to set moral standards,'' he said.

He thanks his family, friends and "caring'' teachers for helping him to resist negative peer pressure.

Ronald plans to own his own business and to become rich so that he can feed the hungry all around the world.

He believes that in 15 years Bermuda will be fully computerised.

He also believes that if Bermuda does not address the violence problem, there will be a lot more crime and an increase in the number of gangs. But, he says, if Bermudians can find a solution to the problems, Bermuda could once again become a peaceful place.

Ronald says he would like to see Government build a recreation centre for teenagers. This centre would house a room for sessions on remaining drug-free, a pool room, basketball court, a games room and a swimming pool.

He says the best day of his life was when he turned 16 because he received his own transportation and got his freedom.

"The worst day of my life,'' Ronald recalled, "was when I fell and split my head open. I still have a knowledge bump.'' Ronald says if he had a plane ticket to anywhere in the world he would go to China because he would like to see how the cars, computers, video games and other electronic devices are made. He would also like to see what the lifestyle is like in China.
