School enjoys busy birthday celebration

Activities to mark the occasion have included the opening of a nature reserve and rose garden on the school's grounds, an open day, an afternoon of "old time'' games, and an art exhibition and reception.

The Francine Trott Nature Garden, which was officially opened on February 27, is representative of preserved land, endemic plants and has been described as East End's natural museum. Meanwhile, school officials said the Rose Garden was used for many reading activities.

A Taster's Supper was held in it and the culmination of activities was an Appreciation Assembly and Tea for former principals and teachers.
