Musician Eddie Ming has set up a new drumming and percussion school in St.

George's that will admit students as young as three years old.

But Mr. Ming said the school was open to people of all ages and skill levels.

Students attending group lessons will be exposed to African, Egyptian, Brazilian and Japanese drumming.

Mr. Ming said the two main percussion groups at the school will be an ensemble called "Storm'' and another called "De Gombey Club''.

And a new group called "Moondog'' will feature more experienced percussionists.

The school's official opening was held last Saturday and featured a short demonstration and light refreshments.
