Short story contest

will get the chance to answer this question by entering The Allan Vincent Smith Foundation's short story contest.

Entitled "Reasons to Care'', the contest is open to students in primary, middle and senior schools throughout the Island. Participants are required to write a story no longer than 150 words.

Entries, which must be submitted by 5 p.m. on April 30, should include the student's name, age, class and school.

They must also include the category in which the student is entering, i.e.

Best Primary School Entry, Best Middle School Entry, or Best Senior School Entry. First-place winners in each category will receive a certificate, an AVSF T-shirt and pin.

In addition to this, first-place entries will be published on the Young Observer Page of The Royal Gazette on Saturday, May 8.

Entries judged for Honourable Mention will receive an AVSF pin. Entries must be submitted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at the AVSF office in 2 Bermuda House Lane, 95 Front Street. For more information contact the AVSF on 295-6882.
