off ers an up-beat and exciting programme.

The group of 60 majorettes and 15 drummers meet every Wednesday between 6 p.m.

and 8 p.m. at the Warwick Workman's Club on Cobb's Hill Road.

During rehearsals, the majorettes practice a number of routines to the rhythmic beats of the drummers.

Throughout the year, the Warwick United Majorettes and Drum Corps strut their stuff at various school fund raising events, church fairs, and charity bazaars.

There is a weekly $2 fee in addition to the cost of the uniform which ranges between $250 and $300.

The majorette uniform, which changes in colour every year, includes a sequined leotard, skirt, shako (hat), plume (a feather attached to the hat), sequined gloves, epaulettes (ornamental shoulder pieces), tassels, boots and baton.

The drummers wear an all-white uniform decorated with a shako, plume and breast-shield.

Interested youngsters should contact June Tuzo on 292-7883.
