My name is Nalani Dowling. I am 12 years old and an S7 student at Saltus Grammar School. Last year I was Head Girl of the Junior School.

Both my parents are doctors. I have three siblings: Kayla 10, Harmony four, and Austin, who is also four. We are a big and busy family.

My favourite in-school activities are participating in the drama, art, and using my lap-top for computer technology. I also enjoy reading and writing.

My favourite after-school activities are playing piano, art classes at the Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation, and French with the Bermuda Language Institute.

My favourite types of music are gospel and pop. My favourite place to shop is the mega Toys R Us in New York City; they have everything there!

The thing that irritates me the most is when people curse or swear….. I think that it's disrespectful and offensive.

I'd like to be an artist, or an author and illustrator. I'd love to write children's books.

My message to my peers is to not follow the crowd. Be the best person you can be and don't try to be perfect.
