Not fully acted out
For English class we were reading the novel 'Lord of the Flies'.
'The Lord of the Flies' is a novel about these boys that were on a plane that crashed and found them selves on an Island.
On this island the boys slowly started to move away from civilisation except for Piggy and Ralph. Jack and Roger, on the other hand, were moving away from society quite fast in trying to rule the other boys and forming this savagery group.
Just recently we went to see a play on 'The Lord of the Flies'. The play on 'The Lord of the Flies' wasn't as good as I thought it would be.
The play wasn't bad; I just thought it could've been much better. I know that the play didn't have to follow the book word for word, but I couldn't really understand the play.
The play in actuality got the characters of the novel quite well, but for some of the characters, parts were not fully acted out.
Another thing with the play was that they made Jack seem as a person who wasn't really aggressive, but in the novel he actually was really aggressive and taking charge of everything.
The sound effects for the play were excellent and also the way they planned the play.
I really didn't mind the play because that was the first play I've ever seen and I'm always appreciative of new things.
The play over all was good and I could see that the actors and stage crew worked really hard to accomplish the play.
