Reading clubs at Sandys are blooming this year. There are presently four clubs, and the students are enjoying the quality time with the teachers who lead.

I enjoy my book club which is called the Bluford Girls Book Club. After we read a book from the Bluford series, we have meaningful discussions which relate to the books and everyday girl problems. I also enjoy this book club because it helps us to open up to our peers and helps us to talk in an appropriate manner and in a mature way.

Being in the Bluford Girls Book Club has taught me how to respect myself, others and how I speak.
