A balanced life
My recipe for success is to practise good time management, understand my work, eat nourishing food, use home management skills and live a balanced life.To practise good time management, I have to organise myself and make sure I get everything done in an appropriate amount of time, and still have time for after-school activities, homework, chores, helping around the house, and family time. For example, I have a list of everything that I am expected to achieve in a week so I know what I need to get done.I pay attention in class and make sure I understand what I’m doing before the teacher lets us do our work. For example, when I’m set a page of work in class and I understand the directions, I still want to double check what I’m doing before I start it. A student can pay attention in class but may not be 100 percent sure.I have good home management skills. I have manners, and I am properly, appropriately trained for my age. I know how to survive in case of emergency, and I know what I’m doing. I wouldn’t always need my parents around to tell me what I’m supposed to do bit by bit.My parents, especially my mother, make sure I eat nourishing, healthy food. For 90 percent of the time I eat healthy and ten percent of the time I eat junk. My parents also know that the food I eat is full of important nutrients. They provide wholesome nutritious food on my plate for me to eat. I also get a suitable amount of sleep every night, so that I am rested for the next day. My parents, especially my father, make sure I get at least ten hours of sleep on every school night. Also, I have a balanced life. There are some people who work 24/7, and there are people who play 24/7. My life is equally balanced.I make sure I get all my homework and studying completed first so that I have time to do my extracurricular activities like swimming, music, drama and Sunday school. I have time to play, spend time with my family and still have a superb childhood. My time management serves me well.I trust that you take pleasure in my recipe for success and once you really understand it, you will figure out that my recipe for success combines and makes one big puzzle. My recipe for success is like double Dutch you just have to jump in and find your rhythm.
