Approximately 75 students under the eagle eye of the coordinator Chandra Maybury and a team of teachers have been rehearsing and learning their lines for the production: “Once Upon a Time at BBA”. Nothing strange about that, we hear you say … however, the difference with this production is all of the actors were aged between 18 months and five years old.The production was hosted at Ruth Seaton James Hall last Saturday. It incorporated dance, singing and acting. At the last minute the team had to move location from City Hall to Ruth Seaton James just to keep up with the demand and sale of tickets.In early March the team will start preparing for their next production, which will again be hosted at Ruth Seaton James Hall, in early July. The dilemma Ms Maybury now has is whether to increase to two shows instead of one for the next production.When we spoke to Ms Maybury to ask her how she felt the programme went, she explained: “Students performed dances, sung songs, and recited lines from some of the most popular Walt Disney movies as Prince Charming (Noah Forbes) went on a journey to find his mystery Princess (Marlee Place). The students did a great job on stage, and the response from the show has been unbelievable. The teachers at BBA do a remarkable job with the students.
