BHS, Saltus dominate at Senior Schools swim meet
On Friday, September 27th Bermuda School Sports Federation hosted its first Senior School Swim Meet for the year.Eighteen races could not separate BHS and Saltus as they shared the girls division title with 139 points apiece. Saltus won the under 16 division with 78 points followed by BHS with 66.BHS won the over 16 division with 73 points followed by Warwick Academy with 65.The boys division was also fairly tight with Saltus edging Warwick Academy by three points with 165 points.Warwick dominated the under 16 division with 103 points while Saltus cruised in the over 16 division with 102 points.Sophie Froud of Warwick Academy led her team with wins in the over 16 Butterfly and Individual Medley.Shannon Hassell from Warwick was also a double winner claiming victories in the Backstroke and under 16 Individual Medley.Other top performers were Jessie Marshall from Saltus who won in the Butterfly and finished second in the Individual Medley, D’Andra Seymour from Berkeley who won the Freestyle and finished second in the Backstroke and Warwick’s Susana Armano who won the over 16 Breaststroke and finished second in the Individual Medley.Ferdinand Arnold from Warwick Academy won the under 16 boys Butterfly and Breaststroke. Schoolmate Justin Ferreira claimed gold in the Freestyle and silver in the Individual Medley.Philip Hagen was Saltus’ top performer winning the over 16 Butterfly and Individual Medley.
