Second public viewing of stolen jewellery planned for Thursday
Police are working to return jewellery to its owners by hosting a second public viewing of a large quantity of recovered items.
A Police spokesman said a previous viewing of the stolen jewellery on January 6 garnered a great deal of public interest. As a result, a second viewing will be held on Thursday, February 2, between 10am and 2pm.
Detectives investigating the case are encouraging anyone who may have had jewellery stolen, particularly prior to June 15, 2011, to attend the Hamilton Police Station at 52 Victoria Street, Pembroke to view these items recovered by police, the spokesman said.
In order to verify and claim any item(s), persons should have suitable proof of ownership.
Also, Police are asking for anyone with additional information about the stolen jewellery to contact Dc Avasonjia Hewitt or Dc Alickson Severin at 295-0011 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-8477.
