Village too strong for Robin Hood

Every game is a cup game for North Village who are still hoping to defend their Premier League title.
Five points behind league leader Dandy Town, the Rams will be praying Hornets slip up against PHC. Hood, who are safe from the drop zone, will be hoping to throw a spanner in Village’s works at BAA Field tonight.
Prediction: Village 3-0
Devonshire Cougars v
St George’s
Devonshire Cougars still have a shot at the title but they will need to beat St George’s to keep within six points of top spot.
St George’s could also do with a result to keep a safe distance from the relegation scrap.
A point for Richard Todd’s side at Devonshire Rec. should certainly ease any concerns they have of the dreaded drop.
Prediction: Cougars 3-1
Dandy Town v PHC
Game of the week, and maybe of the season considering the major implication the result could have on the title race.
Just two points separate these two contenders, and PHC can ill afford to lose if they are to win the championship in Brian Anderson’s first season in charge.
Fireworks will surely fly in this one, with the two most potent strikers in the league going head-to-head.
Both Raymond Beach, of Hornets and PHC’s Antwan Russell are in fine form and are both potential match winners.
Prediction: Town 2-1
Southampton Rangers v
St David’s
A crucial game for these two struggling sides at the Southampton Oval.
Rangers have been in poor form in recent weeks but will fancy their chances of turning over Warriors on home turf.
Goals will be at a premium in this one, so the first goal could be all-important.
Prediction: Rangers 2-1
Somerset Trojans v
Boulevard
Should Boulevard lose again they will be staring relegation squarely in the face.
Trojans, meanwhile, are making steady progress up the ladder, and given their current form should be confident of victory at Somerset Cricket Club.
Few teams have gone to Somerset this year and enjoyed favourable results, and this one shouldn’t be any different.
Prediction: Trojans 3-1
