Robert Richardson is pleased to be awarded the Digicel Premier Division Player of the Month for December after his PHC side topped the table at the winter break.

Richardson, skipper of the Warwick-based club, has been an influential figure for the club who are the surprise package of the top flight.

Although he is cautiously reserved about his team's chances of winning the league title, the defender is hopeful the form continues for both himself and his club as they continue their push for league honours.

“It feels pretty good to get this award, it shows that the hard work that is being put in is being noticed,” said Richardson. “To get a personal accolade is always great, but the main goal is the team success and that it what we are looking for.

“The season has been good so far, we had the big results early in the season but are in the thick of the title race and there is all to play for right now.”
