Fixing it: RAF personnel tend to one of eight military planes parked at the L F Wade International Airport. The planes, from RAF Marham in the UK, were a mixture of Tornado fighter jets and Tristar passenger jets. They were en-route to a training exercise in the US. However, one of them developed technical difficulties while attempting to depart the Island on Sunday and had to abort its take-off. Airport General Manager Aaron Adderley said: ?One of the jets experienced an aborted take-off due to a failure of one of the afterburners and hot brakes.? However, he added: ?The mechanical problem was remedied and the aircraft departed later on in the afternoon.? (Photo by Glenn Tucker)
