TV show’s visit a huge success

Cooling out: Former X Factor UK judge and singer Tulisa Contostavlos at Fairmont Southampton’s beach while filming for the hit TV show

The X Factor’s flying visit to Bermuda has been hailed a huge success.

Film crews and contestants descended on the Island last week to film footage for the hit TV show.

Judge Louis Walsh and singer Tulisa were also here for the four-day visit.

The X Factor entourage visited St George’s and Horseshoe Bay during their short stay, which was hampered by bad weather.

But Victoria Isley, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for the Bermuda Tourism Authority said that the X Factor’s presence had helped generate massive exposure for Bermuda across the world.

“The worldwide spotlight on Bermuda just during the filming dates was quite impressive, not to mention the massive exposure the Island will garner once the shows air later in the fall,” she said.

“The Bermuda Tourism Authority extends a great deal of gratitude to the many partners on-Island that mobilised and remained flexible to make the shoot such a success. These projects require lots of teamwork and private sector and government partners alike really rose to the occasion.”
