Man in court for Edness murder

A 21-year-old Pembroke man is in custody after being charged in Magistrates’ Court this morning with the killing of Prince Edness.

Joshua Tamouri Usher will be back in court on January 12 after appearing before Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo. Since the matter will be heard by the Supreme Court, he was not required to enter a plea.

Mr Usher was additionally charged with using a prohibited firearm to commit murder, use of a firearm during flight, possession of a firearm with a barrel shorter than 24 inches and possession of 0.4 Winchester ammunition without a licence.

Mr Edness was shot dead on the night of December 7 after an incident on South Avenue, Southampton.
