A 32-year-old man has been accused of threatening and intimidating a witness.

Jahmico Trott was charged in Magistrates’ Court with two offences, one of witness intimidation and one of making offers to provide “payment or protection” to the same witness if they were to give false testimony.

Both of the offences allegedly took place on July 22 last year.

Mr Trott was not required to plea as he requested the matter be heard by the Supreme Court.

Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe remanded Mr Trott into custody until April 1.
