The Western Counties has become the latest cricket competition to fall victim of Covid 19.It is the third event to be cancelled this week after the Eastern Counties Cup and Cup Match.The Western Counties was scheduled to be held on July 4 and 11, August 8 and 29 at White Hill Field.A statement from the Western Counties Cricket Association read: “As we are facing unprecedented times with the Covid-19 pandemic, it was with great disappointment that the decision was reached.“After much deliberation and in order to keep in line with the Government’s health regulations, the Western Counties Cricket Association executives have decided that it is in the best interest of the public to resume the series in 2021.“Further information will be provided in due course surrounding the 2021 Western Counties series.”
