White Hill Field: (1st Division Presidentís XI won toss) Presidentís XI beat Vice-Presidentís XI by 29 runs

Jarryd Richardson claimed the Man of the Match award after scoring 35 to help lead the Presidentís XI to a 29-run win in the All-Star match at White Hill Field on Saturday.

Richardson was named to play in the Premier Division All-Star match, but played in the earlier match instead to enable him to catch a flight to England later in the evening.

The Bermuda Under-19 captain shared in a second-wicket stand of 64 with Jaiden Manders who was run out for 34 from 34 balls. Like Richardson, Manders hit three fours and a six, with Richardson facing 29 balls.

Manders put on 42 with fellow opener Regino Smith (24) while Qíshai Darrell added 29 at No 4 as the top order laid the foundation for their total of 160 for five.

Asked to score at eight runs an over in their run chase, they struggled early on after being pegged back at 30 for five by the sixth over.

Two more wickets went down on 51 and 56 in the eleventh and twelfth overs before an unbroken eight-wicket stand of 75 between Torleair Caines and Shane Robinson took them past 100.

In the end they finished with 131 for seven, 30 runs short of victory. Caines, who plays for Warwick Workmenís Club, scored 32 not out from 26 balls with three fours and two sixes while Robinson, of Flatts Victoria, scored 33 not out from 27 balls, also with three fours and two sixes.

Jodie Maronie, of Warwick, claimed two for 25 from three overs to lead the Presidentís XI bowling.
