The Pembroke Rotary Club sponsored a Student IT Quiz to play its part in developing the IT skills of Bermuda’s young people and exposing them to the opportunities available in fintech and other fields as the country moves onto the global blockchain stage.

The IT Quiz was held on the evening of 3rd May, 2018 at the Mount Saint Agnes Academy.

The Quiz was open all Senior Schools on the island, and teams from Berkeley Institute, BHS, CedarBridge Academy, Mount Saint Agnes, Saltus, Somersfield, and Warwick Academy participated.

The evening was a great success with teams responding to a series of questions and gaining points for each correct answer.

In the end, the team of Nathan Cabral, Keiron Rushe and Denton Trott from Warwick Academy won the event. Each team member received a $250 gift certificate from Red Laser.

In second place, from CedarBridge was the team of Jordan DeSilva, Bishop Zanders, Justin Moniz, and Zorico Gilbert. Each team member received a $150 gift certificate from Red Laser.

The third place team from Berkeley was made up of Taye Lambe, Casey Hardtman, and Tyler Trott, and each team member received a $100 gift certificate from Red Laser.

The Pembroke Rotary Club would like to thank the sponsors of the event: Red Laser, Deloitte, Digicel, Fireminds and ConnecTech.
