The Hamilton Princess has been lit up with heart symbols to show its support for the global fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The hotel, which shut its doors last week for the duration of the crisis, put the lights on in empty rooms to make the heart shapes visible to passers-by on land and the water.

A spokeswoman for the hotel said: “Hamilton Princess&Beach Club expressed solidarity with those affected by the global coronavirus pandemic across the world by lighting select rooms across the property to form hearts.

“These symbols will be left in place until the hotel reopens.”
