Resumption of bus services delayed
The Department of Public Transportation advises the public that because of the hazards of low-hanging communication cables and vegetation left in the wake of Hurricane Paulette, bus service will be unable to resume this morning.
The DPT can advise that the relevant agencies are making every effort to remove these hazards as soon as possible to make the roads safe for the bus service to resume.
The public will be advised at the earliest.
• UPDATE: this announcement has been amended to clarify that communication cables, not power lines, are responsible for the delay
