Tropical Storm Colin is a potential threat to Bermuda, according to the Bermuda Weather Service.

The closest point of approach to the island within three days is forecast to be 352 nautical miles to the north-northwest at 2am on Wednesday.

As of 9pm, Tropical Storm Colin was 1,334 nautical miles west-southwest of Bermuda.

According to the National Hurricane Centre, the storm is moving northward at 9mph with maximum sustained winds of about 40mph with higher gusts.

Some strengthening is anticipated before Tropical Storm Colin reaches the coast of Florida.
