Ascendant shares rise 3.3%

Up day: The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained, thanks to a rise in Ascendant shares
Utilities firm Ascendant was today up 20 cents to $6.20 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
The move, a climb of 3.3 per cent, came after 14,000 shares changed hands.
Bank of Butterfield remained at $23.50 after 24,678 shares traded.
The bank was also unchanged on the New York Stock Exchange at $24.07.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 1.93 points, or 0.13 per cent, at 1,543.23.
The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 14.18 points, or 0.85 per cent, at 1,650.40.
