The Royal Gazette/BSX Index edged down 1.79 points, or 0.14 per cent, last week to close at 1,218.39.

A total of 71,506 shares traded, valued at $147,668. Falling were HSBC Holdings, which lost 35 cents, or 5.3 per cent, to close at $6.25 after 1,319 shares were exchanged.

Also ending lower on the week were shares of Ascendant Group, who were down 10 cents, or 2.1 per cent, at $4.70 after 5,000 traded, and Argus Group shares were lower by five cents, or 1.3 per cent, at $3.85 after 1,406 changed hands.

There was an improvement of one cent, or 0.3 per cent, for KeyTech Ltd, which closed at $3.51 after 2,200 shares traded.

The BSX Insurance Index was 39.71 points higher, or 2.49 per cent, at 1,631.83.
