Local charities and schools received $1.5 million from the Bank of Bermuda Foundation between April and September this year.

The individual donations of $25,000 and more were in support of community projects that offer long-term benefits to the Island.

The recipients were: Age Concern, Bermuda End to End, Bermuda Hockey Foundation, Bermuda Institute, Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences, Bermuda Maritime Museum, Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute, Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation, Mount Saint Agnes Academy, PRIDE Bermuda, Raleigh International Bermuda, Sandys Secondary School Foundation, Somersfield Academy, Bermuda Festival and West End Athletic Club.
